How many joules of energy per minute does this humidifier require?

Post by BeboRMazen »

A certain humidifier operates by raising water to the boiling point and then evaporating it. Every minute 30g of water at 20°c are added to replace the 30g that are evaporated. The latent heat of fusion of water is 333 KJ/Kg, the latent heat of vaporization is 2256 KJ/Kg and specific heat is 4190 J/Kg.k. How many joules per minute does the humidifier require?
I want the steps not only the last answer, thanks a lot :)

Hello. Is your question related to a science fair project? If so, please tell us more about your project so we can help you, as this forum is geared to helping students with their science fair projects. If this is a homework question, there are other forums more appropriate to help you.

Thanks!
