Which biomaterials should I choose?

Post by inkraven »

I'm doing a high school science fair project and I don't know what to do!!! Should I make a bioplastic out of used coffee and peanut shells or used coffee and crab/clam shells?

Hi inkraven,

One option you might consider is the Science Buddies project shown at the following link:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ic#summary

In this project you investigate different recipes for making plastic from milk and other ingredients.

If you'd rather pursue the materials you mentioned, you might start by searching for procedures for making these bioplastics. Once you've seen the processes involved you can decide if either is appropriate for an at-home science project.

I hope this helps. Please ask again if you have more questions.
