Hello everybody
I want experimentally to try and make a lab generator (DC generator) in which I want to limit the structure according to the following list:
1. The shaft for the generator will hold the permanent magnets that will turn around .
2. The coil/coils will consist of one wire in continuous length without cuts
3. Coils will not have any inner cores
I have thought that I can build a coil that actually will go around the body but in a sine wave pattern.
Is this correct???
Thanks in advance and best regards!!!

Re: Generator with one piece of wire !!!
Hi Stefanos,
There is a Science Buddies project in which the objective is to build a generator and study how the magnet configuration affects electrical output:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ut#summary
The generator described in this project has at least some of the characteristics you mentioned in your post. So you may find the information in the background, bibliography and procedure sections useful for your project.
I hope this helps. Please ask again if you have more questions.
