Hi Joey - I did my PhD thesis on the "Robobee" project (trying to build a bee-sized robot). You can watch my thesis defense here:

but that is from 8 years ago and they've made a lot of progress since then. You can see the more up-to-date research results here:

Good luck and stay safe as well!

Ben

See moderator note below to explain why this post is out of order ... Thanks!
================
Ben,

Thank you for getting back so quick! In my class, a "qualified expert" is someone recognized as a reliable source of knowledge, technique, or skill whose judgment is accorded authority and status by the public or their peers. The evaluation should consist of a) Does my device solve my problem that I set out to solve in my problem statement? b)Are my tests reliable? c) If you were designing the device, what would you differently? and d) Any critiques that you should have.

Currently, teachers in VA cannot assign any graded work but in the next few weeks, our superintendent is going to send out directions for class instruction and will decide on whether to allow teachers to assign graded work in the future. Because of this, take as much time as you need to evaluate my project. I have to warn you though, my portfolio is 196 pages long. The problem statement is at the beginning of the paper and the testing is the very last topics covered in the paper. If this is too much, please let me know. I know my teacher is going to hate reading it. COVID-19 has disrupted everything. These are uncertain times. Have a great day!

Thank you,
Joey

Moderator note to Joey and Ben,

Joey asked that we remove the attachment. As a moderator, I can move the post + attachment, but I don't seem to be able to just remove the attachment. So, just to keep your thread together, I've pasted your message here! Hope this is not too confusing!

Madeline - I just want to confirm that I understand - there was no NEW message from Joey, you just had to move the posts around to get rid of the attachment?

Hi Ben,

Yes, over the weekend, Joey sent a report to the MCP asking that we remove the attachment. So, to accomplish that, I did have to move the entire post. So, to preserve the post, I pasted it in a new post in this thread. Yeah, I'm sure Amy would have known how to remove just the attachment. But I sort of thought Joey might want the attachment removed right away ... my apologies for confusing everyone!

Thanks,
Madeline
