Can we apply torque on time axis of 4-D spacetime??

Postby Aarya252 » Fri Jun 05, 2020 11:46 pm

I had this thought that if we take a 2-D object in XY plane and apply torque parallel to z-axis, then we change it's plane from XY to either XZ or YZ, can we do that to ourselves?? What I mean is, we know that our universe has a spacetime fabric which has 3 dimensions of space and 1 dimension of time, which we can measure in metres. So, taking the above example, if we know (just a hypothetical example) in which direction the time axis is... can we apply a torque parallel to the time axis, so that that we can perceive 2 dimensions of space and 1 dimension of time?? Thank you, I hope this question isn't wrong in it's fundamentals.
