WAAS capabilities

Post by MakaylaBryant »

I am attempting to conduct the project “Tracking Geomagnetic Storms in the Ionosphere” for my Senior symposium, however I am confused to how one can tell if the GPS has the capability to turn WAAS on and off. The ones I have found say that they are WAAS capable, does that mean by default that it can be turned off? Thank you.

Hi MakaylaBryant,
Unfortunately, the only way to verify whether WAAS can be turned on/off is to go through the manual of the particular device. Can you post the model of GPS that you are thinking of using please? It's possible that someone on the forum may have used it already and can help confirm.

Best of luck with your experiment!
