Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

I am doing an Extended Essay on analyzing possible candidates for habitable exoplanets, and I was wondering how I could choose the stars that have these possible candidates using the tutorial on the Kepler database. My struggle is on choosing any star which has a habitable zone host to begin with and visible patterns that could be analyzed.
