Hardy–Littlewood circle method

Post by Fengy »

I am doing a project with Goldbach conjecture and have trouble understanding the circle method which used to approach the prove the conjecture. I know that it belongs to a deep field of mathematics, analytic number theory, but is there a way to briefly summarized its main idea in a sort of easy way?

Hello Fengy,
Welcome to Science Buddies!

Have you searched the internet for description of the Hardy-Littlewood circle method? Here are links to two papers that might be useful to you:

http://www.uam.es/personal_pdi/ciencias ... tugal2.pdf

By the way, when is your project due?
