PLEASE HELP ASAP: Algorithm Placement in Notebook

Post by 22SA »

Hi,

I have developed an algorithm for my science fair project after I completed experimentation and collected my data. Where and how can I mention and describe my algorithm? I have spoken to my teacher about this, and she said to put it in the conclusion. Do I just copy/paste my algorithm in a page after the conclusion?

Thank you for your help! :D

Hello. Congratulations on completing your experiment. I hope you had fun.

Is the algorithm the result of your experiment or did you use the algorithm to do data analysis? Conclusions should only be the discussion of the outcome of your experiment...not how you got there.

If the algorithm is the result of your experiment, then the conclusion section is appropriate. If you used the algorithm to do analysis to find other conclusions, then I recommend placing it in the data analysis portion if you're writing a report or the procedure section if you are doing a display board.

You can read more here under the "Communicating your Results" section.

I hope this helps. Write back if you have more questions. Good luck!
