Hey! So, just yesterday I competed in the state science fair and placed 3rd for the Junior technology/engineering. When can I start working on the high school level science fair for next year? Assuming that the first science fair, the regional, is in January, is 9 months too long? When can I start?
Thanks,
Kira

Hi,
Congratulations on your success at the recent science fair! It is great to see you so enthusiastic about starting on next year. I can see no reason why you could not start thinking about what you want to do for next year immediately. Many students work on their projects over the summer break. You might want to browse the links on this page for ideas and resources:

I particularly recommend reading this page - it discusses the time involved in creating a competitive top science project.

Have fun!
