Hello -

Science Buddies material list includes 'Light-to-voltage converter, available from Mouser Electronics part number TSL252R-LF' although neither Mouser Electronics nor Jameco Electronics appears to carry this light-to-voltage converter.

For the 'How Does LED Brightness Vary with Current?' project, will the circuit work if I instead order the following from Mouser Electronics:
Mfr. Part # TSL257LF Mfr.:ams Description:Light To Frequency & Light To Voltage Light to Voltage Precision

If not, please advise where I can order this light-to-voltage converter from and include a part number.

Your review and guidance are appreciated,
Julie

Hi Julie,

Sorry about that - you are correct about the replacement part. The TSL257 is available from both Digikey and Mouser:

https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/ ... ND/3095048

https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/am ... Qdl7mVU%3D

We will update the instructions on our website to include links to the new part. Thanks for catching it!

Ben
