Flippy the Robot chassis and wires

Post by hmhorwitz »

I am working on the Flippy the Robot project. I ordered the robot chassis with 2 DC motors from Jameco. When I took out the motors from the packaging, the wires were not connected to the motors like in the project's pictures. I cannot tell how to attach the black and red wires to the motors from looking at the pictures. And I don't see any instructions. Can anyone help? I'm a beginner!

Jameco's website doesn't show the wires either. You can solder wires to the terminals if you have access to soldering iron someplace, or Sparkfun sells the motors with wires on them. https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13302

I'd suggest if you order those, ask and confirm that they come with wires.

The developer of the project just found that Jameco also sells the motors: http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores ... 2260834_-1

Perhaps their customer service would let you return the chassis kit and get the wired motors instead.
