Space Vacuum

Post by angel6ixx »

I've been curious as to how a true vacuum would act recently and was wondering if anyone had any insights on this; If you had an empty high pressure container and opened it then closed it in space, would it then "capture" a vacuum inside, and if so would it then be impossible to open at any atmospheric pressure greater than 0, unless the vacuum of space isn't a true 0 atmospheric pressure.

Hello Angel,
This forum is for students grades K-12 who want help with their science projects. These are interesting questions - are you doing a science project? If so, please tell us more about your project - your hypotheses and how you plan to conduct experiments to test those hypotheses.

Thanks!
