Iron ore extraction reaction rate

AFTER you've done your research and concluded your experiments, it is time to prepare for the science fair. Ask specific questions about preparing for a science fair, including how to set up your display board, how to prepare a presentation, etc. (Please post questions about selecting a project or conducting your experiment by posting in the appropriate "area of science" forum.)

Hi Hinata1603,

Some additional information would be extremely helpful. What is the hypothesis you are testing? Is it for a K-12 science fair project? If so, we are happy to help you!

If your question is not about a K-12 science fair project, you will probably be better served by a different online bulletin board.
All the best,
Terik

The question is an application of knowledge question for a K-12 science fair project. The project is on chemical reaction rates.
Question:
"Iron (II) oxide in the ore reacts with solid carbon to form iron metal and carbon dioxide. Suggest and explain a method to increase the rate of this reaction."

Hi Hinata1603,

I'm still not clear what hypothesis you are trying to test. However, you may find this article about the factors that affect reactions rates helpful:
