Sources for Science fair projects

I'm doing my science fair project on "Extracting Onion Dna" and I have to have 8 sources(5books, 2internet, and 1periodical). I dont understand what i have to get sources on. Do I need to get sources on DNA, Onions, or what? I just really dont understand Thank-You if anyone can help!!!! =)

Sources can be on anything related to your project. You might want to find some on onions, some on DNA extraction, some just about DNA. Sources should be there to help you plan your project; anything that might help you do that works.

Setting up a Research Plan

You might want to check out the Science Buddies page on doing background research:

What you need to do is come up with keywords that you need to research to better help you understand and perform your science experiment. Then you go find information on those keywords in books, magazines, websites, etc, and these become your sources. The Science Buddies page will help you identify key words to research based on your project question and it will also give you tips on how to find the right kind of information for your project.
