Ask an Expert: Name of Student On Display Board

My child came home and said that the teacher wants their names on the display boards. Is that the norm? If so, where should the name be on the board? He wants to slip it in below the title. I think that will distract. Thanks for any input as asking the teacher won't be possible at this time.

Whether or not the student's name is on the board varies from fair to fair; it's really quite a common thing, so I wouldn't be concerned.

Unless your child's teacher specified, you can put your name anywhere. Underneath the title is just fine.
