SCIENCE PROJECT TITLE ?

Post by Michael »

Hello!

I'm trying to put my project together and had asked in the other forum for help on a title. I just realized I should have come here.

Does the increase in salinity affect the water’s ability to expand when it freezes inside an aluminum can?

My project is amazing. I have wonderful information to share. I want to catch everyone's attention for all the hard work and to pass on what I learned. I'm using a blue foam display board with a header.

Appreciate if someone could come up with an amazing phrase?

Looking forward to hearing from you......THANK YOU...MICHAEL

Hi Michael,

Your project sounds really interesting. This page on ScienceBuddies gives some info on how to make the board and what the title should do. https://www.sciencebuddies.org/mentorin ... oard.shtml

The trick is to provide information about your project and to get people to stop and look at it. A descriptive title could be something like "Effect of Salinity on the Expansion of Frozen Water".

If you can find something that rings or is a catchy phrase, it would be better. If you play with some of the words and their order, you should be able to come up with something like that.

Please let us know how it goes,
Philip

Hey!

You're project does sound very interesting! However, a catchy phrase is not a good title for a science fair project. The title should be very descriptive. How do you like, "Salinity and Its Affects on the Expansion of Water"?

Hope I helped

Science Project TITLE

Post by Michael »

I have two titles that I can go with but can't make up my mind:

Salinity and its Effects on the Expansion of Frozen Water

or

Water vs Salt Water Expansion

Appreciate your thoughts? Thank you.

Hi Michael!
I personally like "Salinity and its Effects on the Expansion of Frozen Water" and it sounds more professional than "something vs. something". Good luck on your project!

Hi, Chris.

I like your title alot and will include it in my project. It took me a while to really understand the phase diagram. Now that I have a good grasp of it I'm able to finalize my project and work on the actual oral presentation.

I really learned alot from all of you and shared the wonderful experience with my teacher and classmates. Special thanks to Science Buddies especially you and Louise.

Wishing you a Happy New Year 2008!

"Salinity and its Effects on the Expansion of Frozen Water" sounds more effective and it's very good.
