finding an appropriate fair

Post by anotherparent »

I'm a parent of a 10th grader. We are trying to assemble a list of science fairs in the United States that specifically offer the ability to compete in a "research proposal" category. Any suggestions?

Hi!
There are many different research proposal fairs offered all around the country, it would be great if you could give us a little more information about what area you are located in. Thanks!

Thank you very much for your attention to my question. Glad to share information that would help you help us. We live in southern Connecticut. We would be glad to travel to neighboring states. We're trying to find several high-school fairs with a "research proposal" category simply to identify one that would not conflict with prior commtiments and is still accepting student applications.

Hi!
Thanks for the information. The following is a list of some regional fairs in Connecticut, perhaps some of them will offer proposal fairs.
Bridgeport City Science Fair
Hartford- GHAMAS: Experimental
Research
New Haven City Science Fair
Scholar Program
Science Horizons, Inc.- W. CT/
Brewster, N.Y.
I would also suggest contacting the school research coordinator for more information. Hope this helps and best of luck!
