Hi again,
Thank you, this information was very helpful! :D
I was just wondering one thing, is the abstract a required part of the research paper, or does it depend on the teacher?

And, should the research paper also describe my own personal experiment and all the procedures that went along with it, or just the background information?

Thanks so much!

I'm glad the information was helpful.
I would recommend that you ask these questions to your teacher. The term "research paper" can have different meanings depending on the context, and specific requirements and expectations can vary from one teacher to the next. Once you know exactly what is expected, then you can use the advice in the relevant sections of those web pages.
Good luck!
Chris

Just don't get caught up in the tricks of the word processor when you are writing your science paper. Focus on what you are writing first, not how it looks. Once you are done writing, then focus on how it looks. Too often people get caught up in the formatting that they lose focus on the content.
