Time Window for Mentors

Post by debbieo »

I've been very interested in finding a mentor for my science fair project this year, but I don't know if it's too late to ask anyone as many sources/guides for finding mentors say to start around a year before asking for lab help to build a good relationship. This does make a lot of sense, but would it be impossible at this time of year to get help from a research prof or department within a hospital?

Hello,
Here is the link to the Science Buddies guide to finding a mentor.
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... tem-mentor

These suggestions will be useful regardless of when you will be starting your project. However, you would have a better chance the earlier you start looking!

Good luck with your search.
