Does anyone had any tips about the Google Science Fair 2013?

I was wondering if anyone had any tips about the Google Science Fair 2013... I've already submitted my project but can edit it. Do any categories give you more points or any particular projects such as new discoveries? What are some ways I could improve my project?

And I forgot to mention; are there any other online science fairs or science fairs in Australia I could enter?

Just a couple of days ago I thought of a really good science project and it may lead to a new discovery in the medical category. I would enter it in the Google Science Fair 2013 but I don't have much time left...
