Question regarding a hypothetical planet.

Postby ILoveScience100 » Mon Jan 09, 2017 6:38 pm

Hello, this is my first post and I'm not quite sure if this question goes here so forgive me in advance if I posted in the wrong section. My question is (I hope) simple. If a planet has 10 times Earths gravity, will its diameter be 10 times bigger? This planet btw has similar characteristics to our Planet, just with 10x gravity. If not, how big would it be?

Hi ILoveScience100,

These forums are specifically for students, parents, and teachers working on K-12 science projects. So, your question would be better suited to a different set of online forums. In the meantime, you will find the "Mass, radius, and surface gravity" section of this Wikipedia article very helpful:
All the best,
