Water system

Post by JP »

I have the following problem to solve. I have to make a model. I have started but need some advise.

A farmer stays on a farm/ranch and doesn't have running water or electricity. There is a dam nearby but it doesn't have a pump system. The farmer needs a system that works without electricity to get water from the dam to the house. The water must be stored in a tank with a tap
I thought of putting a waterpipe in the dam leading to a tank at the house. They will then be able to get the water from the tank by using the tap. It doesn't seem to be so easy - how can the pressure of the water be enough to feed the water from the dam through the pipe to the tank ? The dam and house is on the same level.

Please help ! Thank you.
