Bacteria in the mouth

Post by patickadguy »

I am researching bacteria in the mouth for a work project and was curious about comparing the amount of bacteria in mouths to other non living surfaces often thought of as gross. Specifically a heavily trafficked floor. Is it likely that the mouth has more bacteria than a small 1 ft. x 1 ft. square of a floor in a mall or graocery store or something like that?

Please let me know.

A quick search on Google or answers.com should yield you plenty of results.

This forum is for K-12 students working on science fair projects, so you will probably find a forum more aimed towards the corporate world more helpful.
All the best,
