Radish Seeds

Post by JordanU740 »

Hello,
I'm doing LOTS of research  And I'm having trouble finding information on radish seeds. For example, is a radish seed a dicot or a monocot? Classification questions like this... Please help me.... any information is helpful!!! :D
Thanks
Jordan

Growing radishes and examining them to determine if they are a monocot or dicot is a traditional plant biology laboratory. Given that, our concern would be that we are helping with homework for a lab where you are supposed to figure it out.

Please post your hypothesis so we know more about what you are working on.

Monocots versus Dicots

Post by John Furman »

Hi Jordan,
I am not sure what your project is; but here is a URL that compares Monocots and Dicots
http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/glossary/g ... dicot.html
I hope this helps.

No, you're not helping me with my homework. But that was my fault for not being specific. My science fair project is "How does Bleach Affect Seed Germination in Radish Seeds?" and what I'm asking is if radish seeds are monocot or dicot and I'm dsoing research and every site I go to, it always want to sell me Radish seeds. If anyone has any research tips that I could use to block selling site that could also be well appreciated. My hypothesis is that the blech will accelerate the sprouting time.
Thanks a bunch

this website gives some background info on radish seeds-

Hope this helped, good luck!
