Try a basic google search; I typed in "vitamin D and cancer" and got a lot of results
The most recent reseach claiming vitamin D can decrease cancer risk will be published in February 2006 in the American Journal of Public Health.
However, previous research has shown that "vitamin D helps inhibit the growth of cancer cells" (http://www.bccancer.bc.ca/PPI/Unconvent ... itriol.htm)
This study explains how vitamin D is involved in colon cancer:
