Can the name "bouba-kiki" be changed to my own "made-up" name?

I would suggest that you don't change it, as 'The Bouba/kiki Effect' is the name of the phenomenon, and is recognized by scientists as a specific thing.
Why were you wanting to change it?

Hello!

The name of the effect has been accepted and used by many, many scientists, so it is not a good idea to try to change the name of the effect for your project as this may confuse your audience, teachers, parents, and fellow students.

However, you may change the name of your project to come up with something catchy and creative, just not the name of the effect. Some project names for your experiment could be:

Super Sounds: The Sounds Humans Associate With Different Shapes
Superb Shapes: The Sounds Humans Associate With Different Shapes

A good format to follow when thinking of a project name is [creative: informative]

Hope this helps and feel free to ask more questions!
