A Battery that Makes Cents clarification

Post by leilanni »

Hi - looking for some clarification please. In this experiment, are the paper towel squares (soaked in vinegar/salt) supposed to be between every coin (penny, towel, nickel, towel, Penny, towel, etc) or between pairs of pennies and nickels (Penny, towel, nickel, Penny, towel, nickel)? Thank you!

See Figure 5: "One battery cell consists of a penny, a soaked paper-towel square and a nickel on top."]

Hello,

For this project you'll want to include the paper towel squares between pairs of pennies and nickels (penny, towel, nickel, penny, towel, nickel). Figure 1 on the Background page has a diagram that might be helpful.

Good luck,
