Need Help Measuring a Plant's Water Intake

Post by Mochi_NiMC »

Hey,

For my science fair research, I need to find a way to measure the amount of water my plant is taking in. I don't know a way to because the water in my cups are hard to measure when they are being evaporated by the LED lights and the heating mat I have the under.

Because of how cold it is in my house and area, I can't find a way to stimulate good weather conditions for rice so I have to keep both of the appliances on. Either way, I need some help to obtain this data.

Thank you for your time

Do you have an opportunity to buy a potometer? This device is supposed to be used for this purpose.

Will this work for seedlings as well as shoots?
I don't want to harm the seedlings because they are still small and a bit fragile.
