Somethings Fishy Experiment

Post by sheger »

My class just did the Somethings Fishy experiment and all our daphnia died. Does anyone have the data from their experiment that my students could use?

Hello Sheger,
Student data and results are not posted or shared at Science Buddies. This helps ensure that all students gather their own data as part of the experiment and then analyze that data and share their conclusions when writing up the results of the project.

But your students' project did not "fail" - they should still write up the project, including a careful description of their procedures. This is particularly important since they will need to refer to that section when they write up the section describing what happened and discuss what might explain why the daphnia died.

Science progress is full of stops and starts. Progress happens when the researchers examine what when wrong.

Hooray for your students!!

Madeline
