Harmful Algal Blooms in the Chesapeake Bay Science Project

Post by 25dletelier »

Good afternoon! I had a question regarding this project on algal blooms in different bodies of water, and I noticed on the website that one of the locations of water was labeled as "Patuxent River - Jug Bay." These are two different locations, and so to my understanding, this data is for both the Patuxent River and the Jug Bay in Maryland. Am I correct? I am confused as to how I will be able to use this data, or at least interpret it. Would there be a way I could get data for one location? This project focuses more on ocean sciences. Any information about the locations would be greatly appreciated! Link to project: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... gal-blooms

Hello!

Each of the locations in the drop down menu correspond to a sampling station where the water is being analyzed. Patuxent River- Jug Bay refers to one specific sampling station. So it is only one location. If you click here, you can find the exact coordinates of each station: https://eyesonthebay.dnr.maryland.gov/e ... nTable.cfm

I hope this helps!
