Waste Not Want Not- HELPPPP

We are doing this science fair project. We also live in LOS ANGELES and there are NO natural streams or rivers. What can we use to substitute the benthic mud samples? PLEASE HELP US!!!!!!!

Hi! Benthic mud can be found at the top layer of mud in lakes, rivers, or streams. After a quick Google Search, I did find some bodies of water in Los Angeles, however, if none of these are near you, the introduction of the experiment did mention that electrogenic bacteria can also be found in simple soil, so this can be used as an alternative.
