How would you convert the below solutions into concentration percentages?

90ml 100% sucrose
45ml/45ml sucrose and h2o
30ml sucrose 60ml h2o
18ml sucrose 72ml h2o
9ml sucrose 81ml h2o
4.5ml sucrose 85.5ml h2o
3.6ml sucrose 86.4ml h2o

Hi,

Is this for your science project? Scientists frequently need to calculate percentages, so this is a good topic.

The general formula to solve these problems is

mL of sucrose divided by (ml of sucrose plus ml of water, or total volume).

So the first problem, 90 ml 100% sucrose is 100%.

The second is 45 ml divided by (45 +45), or 50%.

The third is 30 ml divided by (30 + 60) or 33.33%

I hope this helps.
