Dear Sir, My name is Bobby Orme, I am a sophomore and would like to study Agrisept-L. It is supposed to be a fungicide. I woulkd like to purchase quantities of algae from "Home Science Tools". Agrisept is a natural supplement used to help retard yeast. I would like to test quantitively the effects of Agrispet on algae. Does this sound like a good experiment for my level

Thank you.

Hello bobbyo,
I had not heard of Agrisept-L. A web search turned up nothing except people who wanted to sell me some of it. Do you have any information on what it is chemically?
I think that a carefully planned project to measure its effects on algae would be an appropriate project for 9-12 grade science.
For ideas, you might search

Be sure to lay out your project plan to have appropriate controls and to result in a clear, interpretable result.
Good luck, WW

Hi Bobby,
I agree with WW; a well-done project gauging the effects on algae would be perfectly fine, with respect to grade level! Just be sure to document all the materials and steps clearly, including what type of algae you get and where you get it from (i.e. Home Science Tools). I hope you have fun with your experiment!
