Lab Books

Hello,
This is my first science fair project and I will be starting to conduct research in the lab soon. I have already bought a lab book, but I am still confused as to what I should be recording. The guidelines on the websites were not very clear/could not find some. Also, my writing is horribly messy, so would it be better to use a digital lab book (I am doing Sanofi, and hopefully CWSF/ISEF)? Would you suggest hard copy vs.digital?
Thank you!
Sarah

Hi Sarah - Our lab notebook resource contains a lot of helpful information about what to record. Have you already read through the sections here: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... book.shtml

Keep in mind that having all of your data and notes is more important that how "neat" your handwriting is!

There is information on electronic notebooks in the Science Buddies resource. (Not all fairs or teachers accept them yet.)
