Hello oamigo18:
Welcome to Science Buddies. Great choice in looking here at Science Buddies for an expert in flood control. If you are unable to find someone at this site that is able to help you, I would suggest that you look for an environmentalist at your local community college or local college(s).

Hello oamigo18,
What are your questions? With all the professionals here, you should be able to get some of your questions answered.
Also, check with the local USGS office to see if someone there can help you. When you call or email them ask specific questions, rather than broad ones, and keep emails short. You may or may not get a response, but keep in mind that those people are busy and might not have the time to dedicate to a mentee.

Also, check with the local community college environmental or biology/ ecology program, there may be a college student or professor willing to mentor or help you. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
