Hi! I was wondering if you could help me find the real life application of my project. My project's name is Melody Camouflage, and is about demonstrating how we hear what we expect or want to hear. My science teacher focuses a lot in the real life application of the projects, and I have been thinking and searching but I haven't found any possible application. If you could give me any suggestions I will be really grateful.
P.S. If you have any suggestions on how I could make my project even more interesting, the ideas are all welcome.
Thanks

Hi,
This sounds like an interesting project. Can you tell me more about what your project is about. What variable are you testing and how are you going to measure its effects? Once I know more about your project I can help you find some real life applications.

Hello,
You have a very interesting idea! It seems as if your project relates to sociology and human behavior. Have you looked through the Science Buddies project ideas related to those topics? You may find helpful information that will give you ideas for your experimental design. For example, try reading the Background and Make It Your Own sections of this project:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p025.shtml. This project uses a survey to get an idea of people's preferences. Perhaps you could combine a survey with a verbal (or musical?) "test" to see how people's preferences relate to what they hear. In terms of application, your results could relate to advertising, political campaigns, or other ways in which sound is used to influence people.
As Kierstyn said, providing more details about your project will help us to give you more specific advice.
