What do you put in background information?

I am doing my project on diabetes, so what am I supposed to put in my background information? Is it research? Like what is diabetes? and treatment for diabetes? etc.

Yes - your background information will be your research. From your other messages, it sounded like you were writing a paper and not doing an experiment. But you have also indicated you are doing a survey? Is your survey not designed with a hypothesis in mind for your topic?

For background info you should put things that gives info about your topic.
