I need a mentor for my project concerning the regeneration and reflexes of a worm, and also a list of worms that can utilize regeneration. PLZ HELP ME <---- very cry

Concerning a mentor - why don't you try contacting a professor or research scientist at a university in your area?

You might want to try asking your science teacher(s) as well. They would be able to help you.

Well, i mean i asked them and they told me to post here in order to find some1 that can help me and my partner, so idk.

Flat worms, also known as annelid worms can regenerate.

Try searching "annelid regeneration simple experiments"

I think Sareena was trying to suggest that as well as posting here, which is a good way to get general information, that you be a bit pro-active as well. Try looking at the website of a local university or college biology department and look for someone that lists their research interests as developmental biology or embryology that might be willing to mentor you.

Planaria are at type of flatworm that can definitely regenerate.

If you're willing to look beyond worms, sea sponges and sea stars can also regenerate.

Are you a high school student or a middle school student? If you're a middle school student, have you tried asking biology teachers at your local high school? They may be able to help you.

Otherwise, community college teachers are another great resource. However, this forum is international, so unless you give us a vague idea of where you live (for example, the Bay Area in Northern California), it's hard for people to know whether or not they're in the same area to be able to mentor you.
