Is there an easy indicator to test for the pKa of substances?

Hello NiceGirl761,
A very easy to measure and very common measure of acide dissociation is pH. pH and pKa are not the same. Anice article about the relations between the two measures is at
http://www.columbia.edu/~crg2133/Files/ ... itykPa.pdf.
If you take care to compensate for the differences, you should be able to convert pH to pKa.
Another more complicated method is discussed at
http://www.chemagine.co.uk/resources/pka.htm.
The best and easiest method depends on what acid you are interested in and how concentrated is your solution.
Good luck, WW
