We are conducting the 'What Color Are the Leaves Really Turning?' experiment and we cannot find a control, independent variable, and dependent variable.

Hello,
In essence your control is your blank piece of paper with no leave pulp on it. For this experiment you could use the blank piece of paper strip to make sure there are no dyes interfering from either the jar or the alcohol you are using that could mess with your results. Although if you use alcohol that is from an unsealed container, and a clean jar, you most likely wont see a thing. However, if you were using a liquid that had color to it you would want to know in your experiment how much coloring came from you leave vs the liquid you were using, so a control would be nice to have.

Hope this helps!
