Monsieur Edmondson

Will eggs cooked by UV rays form hotspots like eggs cooked in a microwave?

Monsieur Edmondson - Theoretically, yes, but....the problem is that the wavelength of UV energy is in the neighborhood of 100 to 400 nanometers, and would be impossible to measure the half-wave hotspots in this experiment. The use of the microwave oven energy (2.45 GHz) produces a half-wave hotspot of about 6 centimeters, easily measurable with a ruler.
