Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

This is my project: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLo8h3tlyvo ... The only thing I am changing is the laser and the photo resistor. For the laser, I am using a different laser at Max Output <5mW, Wavelength 650nm±10. And Instead of the photo resistor, I want to use a Solar Panel. Problem is, can I use a solar panel from Radio Shack? and what type of solar panel, at how much watts and power should I use? If I have to add an audio transformer please let me know, at least if I can get it to work.
