hi everyone!
i need help to decide a physics experiment that can be conducted in the laboratory, and, preferably does not require the use of equipment already present in the lab such as rheostats. the project needs to be submitted by mid-July, 2013 at the latest. please provide me some ideas, maybe in the field of optics, magnetism, dynamics etc...
thanks

Welcome to the Forum, rashmika. Our objective is to provide support for students involved in Science Fairs -- it's not clear to me that this kind of activity is what you mean by "a physics experiment that can be conducted in the laboratory". If it is (and even if it's not, it can't hurt) try using our Topic Selection Wizard at https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... gister.php If none of these suggests something to you, take a look at YouTube, http://www.youtube.com/, and search the topic "physics experiment" for ideas. Good luck!

john dreher,

thanks a lot for your time.

well by a physics experiment, i mean that i have to take a hypothesis and then do something that either proves or disproves the hypothesis. or i have to prepare something such as the gold leaf electroscope. i have been thinking abt a few projects lately, but most of them are not feasible.

thanks and hoping a quick reply. :)

Well, what you describe is certainly an experiment, but it is not a science fair project. Did you try the project selection tool for ideas?

dear john dreher,

yes, i tried the project selection tool and it certainly gave me some very good ideas, but my teacher wanted something more demanding.

thanks
