Hello , I'm Muhammed Sayed 16 years , from Egypt!
I'm working on a project about developing a new Photo-Semiconductor nanomaterial to use it in the photoelectrochemical cell in producing hydrogen gas by water splitting from sunlight ,, I have a Question .. i Choosed a Semiconductor to work on , i will change in it's crystal structure with nanotechnology , to form a new crystal structure so new properties , My Question Is very Important , what is the realtion between the crystal structure and the properties of matter ,, how the crystal shape determine the electrical and chemical properties of the matter ?! ..

Thanks,
Muhamed ElRakabawi

You are asking questions that can't be answered in general. Even if you bring it down to a specific material, explaining the relationships is doctorate level work.

This is far too ambitious an area for a Science Fair project unless you are already working with people in the field.
