Hi - I talked with some Experts about the photoresistor for this project (and Radio Shack's offerings).
Radio Shack sells a 5-pack:
276-1657
The pack does include cells with varying resistance.
For this project, the resistance should not matter. Any CdS photoresistor will work as long as you don't compare readings between devices made with different CdS photoresistors. As long as you set things up, keep the room light constant during the test, and don't try to infer data by comparing one cell setup to another, you should be okay using any of the ones in the pack.
