hello, I am doing the project "how to build a radon detector", and I need a testable question for the project. I noticed the packet had a couple of questions on it, but my teacher will not allow me to use them. please help asap as I do not have much time for this project unless extended, but I do have just enough to perform it if you can send me possible questions that could help me to decide. thank you

Hi slimshady216,
Are you referring to this project?
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p064.shtml
A good starting point is this Science Buddies article about formulating a question to test:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... tion.shtml
As I look at this science fair project, I notice a few different things. First, you could approach this as an engineering project, with the goal of improving the design to meet a specific set of design criteria. Or, you could take a science experiment approach, and use the radon detector to test a hypothesis. For example, you could make a hypothesis about where radon levels might be highest or lowest and use the detector to test that hypothesis. Or, you could ask a question about which of several options is the best for reducing radon daughter products, and then use the detector to evaluate each option.
All the best,
Terik
