Im looking at starting this project which tests the effect of oxygen on yeast's CO2 production.

At one point in the procedure it is unclear as to what I need to do with the plastic tubing to capture the CO2 to measure it. Here is the procedure.

No where does it explain where to put the end of the tube that is not connected to the bottle with yeast in it. I need someone to explain how to get the CO2 from the yeast bottle to the graduated cylinder with emphasis on where to connect the tube on the graduated cylinder.

That's a great question. I think I found the answer later in the instructions - step 8f. The open end of the tubing goes in the bucket or water, specifically into the graduated cyclinder you have taped there. You must find a way to keep the tubing lined up under the cylinder so the CO2 leaving the yeast is guided up the tubing into the cylinder so you can measure it.
