Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

please help me i have prepared my radon detector but i dont know whether its working properly and i wanted to inquire that what is the purpose of covering the other side with wrapping foil paper does it not stop the flow of radon daughters as they are present in solid state and can you give me some suggestions how to present it in the science fair and give some more information about it.
