Looking for help Wolf Tracking Project

I am having a difficult time understanding how to calculate the total territory for the Tracking Wolf Science Fair Project. I have calculated the territory for each season, how do I calculate the total territory? Thank you

Hi dafabs,
The total territory is the area of all sections the wolfs visited at any time during the year. That's why you can't just add up the territory for each season--you need to account for any overlap between seasons. For the example in Fig. 2 of the procedure, you would add the area of sections 5, 10, 9, 8, 15, 16, 17, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 28, 29, 30, 33, and 32, since wolves were in each of those sections at least once during the year.
